The Dodgers were busy on the roster movement front today. After adding free-agent reliever Nate Jones, Los Angeles had another move to make to fill up Dustin May’s roster spot. May is out for the season following Tommy John surgery.
The Dodgers claimed Infielder Travis Blankenhorn From the Minnesota Twins on Friday afternoon. May was transferred to the 60-day injured list, thus freeing up a roster spot to add Blankenhorn to the 40-man.
Blankenhorn appeared in just 3 games for the Twins’ triple-a affiliate going 2-for-11. He made his big league debut with the Twins back in September of 2020 and got just 3 at-bats.
