Chase Utley figures he’s said what there is to say about his slide into Ruben Tejada that broke the Mets shortstop’s leg in Game 2, at least for now.
Prior to Monday’s Game 3, Utley issued a statement through his agent that said he was done discussing it and that he felt terrible about the injury:
“The Players Association and my agent are handling the appeals process. I have nothing more to say other than to reiterate that I feel terrible about Ruben's injury. Now my teammates and I are focused on Game 3 and doing everything we can to win this series.
