Dodgers bring up Thomas, send down Liberatore

ATLANTA -- The Dodgers optioned left-hander Adam Liberatore to Triple-A Oklahoma City and promoted fellow lefty Ian Thomas from Triple-A on Wednesday.

The move comes after Brett Anderson left Tuesday's game in the third inning with a left Achilles injury. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said that Anderson felt better than anticipated Wednesday morning, but the team is waiting on MRI results.

Thomas spent the better part of the past three seasons with the Braves' organization before the Dodgers acquired him in a late-May trade that sent Juan Uribe to Atlanta. Thomas was being stretched out as a starter in June with Oklahoma City, but he has been used as a reliever at the Major League level this season.
