THE GAME: The Cleveland Indians outslugged the Dodgers and handed them a 14-5 defeat at Goodyear Ballpark on Monday afternoon.
PITCHING REPORT: Thanks in part to two errors at first base by Ike Davis (one on a foul pop up the other on a ground ball), the first five Indians batters reached base against Brandon McCarthy and four came around to score. The Indians went 5 for 9 against McCarthy the first time through the lineup with four singles and a double. After that, he gave up just one more hit and retired the final eight hitters he faced in order, going 4-1/3 innings.
