Things got off to a roaring start in Los Angeles on Thursday. With the Dodgers playing in their home opener, fans in Los Angeles packed out Chavez Ravine and made themselves heard. The pregame National Anthem featuring the gigantic American flag unfurled across the field followed up by a flyover from fighter jets really set the tone.
But the Dodgers bats continued to make noise, chalking up three runs in the first inning. With 5 consecutive singles, Los Angeles took a 3-0 lead over the Reds very quickly. Freddie Freeman got comfortable at the Ravine very quickly, slicing a single to center to get the hit train started.
