Dodgers avoid salary arbitration with Chris Hatcher, per report

LOS ANGELES -- Relief pitcher Chris Hatcher avoided salary arbitration with the Dodgers on Wednesday, agreeing to terms on a one-year contract for 2016. Hatcher will earn $1.065 million this season, per Jon Heyman.

In previewing Hatcher's salary arbitration case I guessed a salary of $850,000 for him, with MLB Trade Rumors projecting a 2016 salary of $900,000.

The Dodgers have not yet confirmed the deal.

Hatcher was a "Super Two" this offseason, with two years, 146 days of major league service time, earning an extra year of salary arbitration by being among the top 22 percent in service time among players with at least two years but not three years of service.
