The Dodgers on Friday came to terms with a pair of relief pitchers on contracts for 2017, signing Luis Avilan and Josh Fields to one-year deals, avoiding salary arbitration.
Avilan will earn $1.5 million this season, and Fields will make $1.05 million, per Ken Gurnick of MLB.com.
Friday was the day for players and teams to exchange salary figures should a hearing be needed if they couldn’t reach agreement. The Dodgers reached agreement with all four remaining eligible players, including catcher Yasmani Grandal ($5.5 million) and pitcher Alex Wood ($2.8 million).
