Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced that Walker Buehler will officially start Game 3 of the World Series against the New York Yankees, via Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. The Dodgers had planned for either Buehler to start or to utilize a bullpen game in Game 3. But they are now choosing to start Buehler. The Dodgers are now expected to turn to a bullpen game for Game 4 of the series.
Jack Flaherty started Game 1 of the World Series on Friday for the Dodgers. Flaherty pitched five scoreless innings to begin the game, before allowing two earned runs in the sixth inning.
