The Dodgers starting staff has been one of the best in baseball so far this season. Surprisingly, journeyman left-hander Andrew Heaney was a key part of the rotation’s success in April. He was arguably their best starter in the early going.
In his first two starts of the season, Heaney did not allow a single earned run in 10.1 IP. The lefty hurler logged 16 strikeouts and a microscopic 0.68 WHIP. It looked like the Dodgers and Heaney had really unlocked something for the former first-round pick.
Then, it all came to a screeching halt.
