Dodgers’ Andrew Friedman Outlines Plan Going Into Trade Deadline

The Dodgers spent billions of dollars to equip themselves with the tools needed for a World Series championship. After splurging over the winter, the franchise could not predict the situation they would be in by July.

Bill Plunkett of the Southern California News Group wrote about the Dodgers’ plan to fix their dilemma on the mound.

“Every season takes on its own life form,” Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said. “But near the end of winter, heading into spring training, we thought we were as well-positioned as we could be to be able to withstand injuries and not have to rely on the market in July.
