The last thing the Dodgers needed right now was another injury to a starting pitcher, but the baseball gods did not cooperate. Clayton Kershaw was placed on the injured list on Friday due to right SI joint inflammation. The joint connects the pelvis to the spine (we’ll leave the medical talk at that).
Kershaw himself believes that he’ll should be about ready to start pitching following his 15-day IL stint.
In an appearance on AM570’s Dodgers Talk with David Vassegh, Dodgers team president Andrew Friedman was also not taking an alarmist stance with the three-time Cy Young winner landing on the IL.
