Andrew Friedman and Brandon Gomes identified the Dodgers’ needs well at the trading deadline, and Kiké Hernàndez, Amed Rosario, Lance Lynn, Joe Kelly, and Ryan Yarbrough all have performed well in a Dodger uniform.
When Hernàndez heard about the trade, he said, “I’m going home.” After the 2021 season, he struggled in Boston. Since he rejoined the Dodgers, he has a .333 batting average with 5 doubles and 6 RBI while playing all over the field for Dave Roberts. In Sunday’s victory against the Padres, Hernàndez went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI.
