The Los Angeles Dodgers added a former Padre to their front office on Saturday. The team hired long-time big league pitcher, Tyson Ross, to their organization as a special assistant, helping with LA’s player development and player performance departments.
Ross has playing experience as a former All-Star himself and now looks to utilize his skills and knowledge in a different capacity within the league.
Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic shared the news on Twitter:
Ross was initially a second-round pick for the Athletics in 2008 and was then traded to the Padres during the 2012-13 offseason, so his new role in LA won’t be his first time around the NL West.
