The Dodgers made a whole lot of noise at the trade deadline this year. The obvious moves were trading for Max Scherzer and Trea Turner, 2 guys that will join the big league team at some point in the next week.
But Andrew Friedman wasn’t just scouring the trade market when looking to change up this team. After trading away Keibert Ruiz in the Nationals deal, the Dodgers were in need of a solid third catcher as backup at the minor league level.
