The Los Angeles Dodgers activated Kenta Maeda off the 10-day disabled list and optioned Daniel Corcino back to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Maeda starts Wednesday night against the Texas Rangers.
He last pitched on May 29 against the Philadelphia Phillies but was removed after just 1.2 innings due to a hip injury. Given that Maeda spent just two weeks on the disabled list, he did not require any rehab starts before being activated.
Getting Maeda back is much-needed for the Dodgers considering they have a whole rotation full of starters currently on the disabled list, with the most recent being rookie sensation Walker Buehler going down with a right rib microfracture.
