LOS ANGELES – Four days after losing a key component of their offense to the DL, the Dodgers got one back.
Infielder Justin Turner was activated from the DL before Thursday’s game. Infielder Jose Peraza was returned to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Turner has been out since July 26 with a skin infection that turned very serious. Turner was diagnosed with MRSA, (Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus), a type of staph infection that is difficult to treat and can be very serious if it spreads.
Turner went through a rigorous pre-game workout before Wednesday’s game and satisfied the Dodgers medical staff that he was ready to return.
