LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers activated relief pitcher Grant Dayton off the disabled list before Saturday night’s game against the Phillies, giving manager Dave Roberts another late-inning option in the bullpen.
Dayton also gives the Dodgers a second left-handed pitcher again in the bullpen, joining Luis Avilan. a While Dayton was out, the club had just Avilan among lefties in the pen for six days, and Adam Liberatore was up for four days before getting optioned back to Triple-A Thursday.
Dayton was sidelined with a left intercostal strain.
