Seven weeks remain until the July 30 deadline to make trades across Major League Baseball, but the Dodgers are wasting no time improving their roster depth.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Dodgers are acquiring infielder Cavan Biggio, who was designated for assignment by the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday. According to Ben Nicholson-Smith of SportsNet, a minor league player is headed to Toronto.
Biggio, 29, owns a .200/.323/.291 slash line in 2024 and .227/.343/.382 for his career. He is the son of Hall of Famer Craig Biggio.
More to come on this developing story.
