LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers on Monday acquired right-handed pitcher Jesus Liranzo from the Orioles in exchange for minor league pitcher Luis Ysla.
Liranzo, 23, had a 4.85 ERA in Double-A Bowie last year, with 75 strikeouts and 43 walks in 65 innings. He made 12 starts and 19 relief appearances but in his minor league career has pitched mostly in relief, with 76 of his 91 appearances out of the bullpen.
Baltimore designed Liranzo for assignment on Wednesday.
The right-hander has 202 strikeouts in 170 minor league innings, but also 103 walks.
