The trade deadline might have already passed, but that doesn’t mean the Dodgers can’t still do some wheeling and dealing. They did just that on Tuesday afternoon as they snuck in a deal just before September, which has postseason roster implications.
The Dodgers reportedly made a deal with the Twins and traded catcher Stevie Berman to Minnesota. In return, Los Angeles will receive left-handed pitcher Andrew Vasquez just in time for September. Getting him into the organization makes him postseason eligible should they decide to add him to the 40-man roster.
