With most of the attention on Clayton Kershaw, the Dodgers continued to stay busy, acquiring minor-leaguer Justin Yurchak from the White Sox in exchange for Manny Bañuelos.
Yurchak, a 22-year-old first baseman, spent 2018 with the Kannapolis Intimidators, the single-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. In 95 games, Yurchak hit .256 with one home run and 36 RBI.
Manny Bañuelos, 27, spent last season with the Oklahoma City Dodgers. On the year, he went 9-7, posting a 3.73 ERA. In 108 innings, the left-hander had 127 strikeouts. Bañuelos has only six games of big-league experience, going 1-4 with a 5.
