LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers have added to their bullpen, acquiring right-hander Jesse Chavez from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for pitcher Mike Bolsinger, The Dodgers also got cash in the deal from Toronto, but the amount is unknown.
Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports and Joel Sherman of the New York Post were the first to report the trade.
Chavez has a 4.57 ERA in 39 games in relief this season, with 42 strikeouts and just 10 walks in 41u2153 innings. His bugaboo has been the home run ball, with nine allowed so far this season, half of his total in 157 innings with the A's in 2015.
