On Tuesday, the Dodgers acquired right-handed pitcher Jaime Schultz from Tampa Bay. In the deal, the Dodgers sent minor-leaguer Caleb Sampen to the Rays.
Schultz, 27, played 22 games with the Rays in 2018. With 21 of those appearances coming out of the bullpen, he went 2-2 with an ERA of 5.64. He had 35 strikeouts in 30 1⁄3 innings of work, and held opponents to a .175 average.
Taken in the 14th round of the 2013 MLB Draft, Schultz has a career record of 22-17 with an ERA of 3.
