LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers acquired right-handed reliever Jesse Chavez and cash considerations from the Blue Jays for right-handed pitcher Mike Bolsinger on Monday afternoon, hours after trading for A's left-hander Rich Hill and right fielder Josh Reddick, according to a baseball source.
The clubs have not confirmed the deal.
Chavez, 32, is a native Californian who will bolster the Dodgers' taxed bullpen. He is 1-2 with a 4.57 ERA in 39 games. Chavez also pitched four years in Oakland, when Dodgers general manager Farhan Zaidi was an executive there.
