It’s a special day around Major League Baseball. The celebration of Jackie Robinson Day around the sport is always something to look forward to, and 2022 is just that much more special. Dodgers fans and baseball fans in general are celebrating the 75th anniversary of Jackie breaking the color barrier this year.
MLB changed things up for the anniversary, adding the Dodgers’ iconic blue number to the jerseys of teams around baseball, all of which will be wearing number 42.
As part of the celebration, the Dodgers will also hold a team talk by Jackie’s statue at the stadium this afternoon.
