The Dodgers beat the Rockies 6-3 on Saturday night for their sixth win in a row, which is something the 2014 team did not accomplish until July 31.
Zack Greinke pitched six innings of one-run ball before running into trouble in the seventh. Greinke got to two outs and was one strike away from stranding a runner at third, but D.J. LeMahieu hit a two-run bomb that ended his night. Greinke finished with five hits, one walk, and three runs surrendered while striking out three batters.
Offensively, this was a rather non-descript game through six, with RBIs coming courtesy of a single from Yasmani Grandal, a two-run RBI “single” from Adrian Gonzalez (was a gapper but Yasiel Puig misread it/didn’t want to risk running on his hammy), and A-Gon also added another RBI on a bases loaded grounder that should’ve been a double play.
