PHOENIX -- The Dodgers begin their minor league schedule in full on Monday, with a pair of Class-A games against Rangers minor leaguers on the back fields at Camelback Ranch.
Generally, the two Class-A squads stick together, and the Double-A and Triple-A teams are in a pack, with two games at one location and two games at the other team's facilities. For instance, Monday's Double-A and Triple-A games between the Dodgers and Rangers will be at Surprise.
Many times, major leaguers will go to the minor league side to get extra at-bats in these minor league games, where the rules can be molded to fit the needs of the team.
