Dodger Stadium is among the five coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination locations in Los Angeles that are temporarily closing due to shortages. Mayor Eric Garcetti made the announcement Wednesday.
The select vaccination sites will remain closed at least through Saturday due to no longer having a supply of first doses of the Moderna vaccine. Dodger Stadium is the largest vaccination location in L.A. and one of the biggest in the country.
Garcetti voiced some frustration over the varying deliveries of vaccinations. This week L.A. only received 16,000, which was drastically down from 90,000 the week prior and 29,000 before that.
