The Dodgers were dealt a huge injury blow on Saturday, as RHP Tony Gonsolin was placed on the injured list with an elbow injury that’s likely going to keep him out for the rest of the season. Gonsolin has been dealing with the injury for the last four to six weeks, and the Dodgers finally decided it was time to let him heal.
Gonsolin, however, was not the only injured player to come out of Friday’s game.
Outfielder Jason Heyward was removed from Friday’s game early in what appeared to be a way of getting him some extra rest, however, that wasn’t the case.
