Even with the Los Angeles Dodgers completing a renovation of center field at Dodger Stadium, visiting Chavez Ravine in 2021 offers much of the same feeling as it did when the ballpark first opened in 1962.
That was a focal point for Dodgers president and CEO Stan Kasten, along with executive vice president of planning and development Janet Marie Smith, throughout the renovation process as they both emphasized a priority to preserve the picturesque background that has become synonymous with Dodger Stadium.
Of course, just as much a part of the Dodgers’ home stadium is the famed Dodger Dog.
