Tulsa, Rancho Cucamonga and Great Lakes all won on Sunday. Great Lakes was even more impressive as they swept their double-header.
DJ Peters homered twice on Sunday as Tulsa won their third game in four tries. Peters has struck out eight times in 20 at-bats. However, despite his strikeout percentage, Peters’ power and athleticism has made him a player to watch this season.
Sunday’s game was moved to last Thursday to avoid bad weather.
The Drillers jumped out to an early 9-0 lead on their way to beating the Midland RockHounds (Athletics) 12-7 in the first game of their three-game series.
