A pair of scoreless streaks continued on Tuesday for the Dodgers' minor league system, one good and one not in their favor.
Player of the day
Deck McGuire continued his hot start for Double-A Tulsa on Tuesday, striking out seven over seven scoreless innings in a 5-0 win at Arkansas (Angels). He allowed two singles to open the second inning for the biggest threat, but McGuire responded by retiring the next 12 batters he faced.
The former first-round pick (by the Blue Jays, in 2010) has allowed only four runs in four starts this year for Tulsa, and has lasted seven innings in each of his last three starts.
