Several members of the Dodgers sat in the Los Angeles City Council chambers Friday to watch history unfold off the field.
Seems it’s hard not to be on board with naming the street that leads into Dodger Stadium as Vin Scully Avenue.
All were Friday morning, with the City Council voting unanimously to rename Elysian Park Avenue after the Dodgers’ iconic broadcaster.
In 30 days Dodger Stadium’s new address will officially become 1000 Vin Scully Avenue.
“Now is the time for us to recognize the greatness of this man,” said City Councilman Gil Cedillo, who made the motion.
