The San Francisco Giants went into play Friday night 31.5 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West standings, yet continued to be a thorn in their side. However, the Giants could not finish what they started, as Corey Seager muscled the Dodgers to a 6-4 win.
Seager opened the scoring with a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning and later put the Dodgers ahead in the seventh with a two-run homer off Giants left-handed reliever Josh Osich.
That gave Seager his sixth career multi-home run game and 18 homers this season.
