LOS ANGELES — A pair of Dodgers minor leaguers captured weekly honors in their respective leagues on Monday. Pitcher Corey Copping won the Texas League Pitcher of the Week, while outfielder Quincy Latimore was named California League Player of the Week for the week of Aug. 14-20.
Copping pitched in three games last week for Double-A Tulsa, recording three saves while pitching 3u2154 scoreless, hitless innings with four strikeouts and a walk.
The 23-year-old right-hander has a 2.89 ERA in 45 relief appearances this season for Tulsa, with 58 strikeouts and 28 walks in 62u2153 innings, with 16 saves.
