PHOENIX — Clayton Kershaw is performing at such a high level with metronomic consistency this season that it has taken most of the drama out of his starts. So, the Dodgers’ offense puts it back in.
For five innings, there was reason to wonder if the Dodgers would give Kershaw any support. But back-to-back two-out singles by Adrian Gonzalez and Howie Kendrick were followed by a three-run home run from Scott Van Slyke in the sixth.
That was enough for Kershaw to win his 10th game of the season, 3-2 over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday afternoon.
