Clayton Kershaw an answer to Dodgers' woes in 1-0 victory against the Padres

LOS ANGELES – Throughout their six-game losing streak, the Dodgers looked for a handful of solutions.

They held a closed-door meeting Friday. Manager Dave Roberts hoped to hit the reset button.

They sought some levity Saturday. One person wrote, “Winning baseball games is the only thing that matters!” on a whiteboard near the clubhouse entrance, and attributed it to Mahatma Gandhi. “I didn’t know he had a baseball quote,” Roberts grinned. “That’s great.”

Then there was a Catholic priest, who stopped in to visit with players before batting practice Sunday.

Clayton Kershaw was also taking the mound that afternoon.
