Utility man Chris Taylor was officially placed on the injured list with a left groin strain. Replacing him on the active roster is outfielder James Outman.
Outman was optioned earlier this week when outfielder Jason Heyward was activated off the IL. Now, he’s back in Los Angeles following Taylor’s injury.
Taylor left Wednesday’s game in the bottom of the seventh inning after suffering a groin injury rounding first base on a double.
