The Dodgers have optioned yesterday's starting pitcher, Mike Bolsinger, and have called up Chin-hui Tsao from Oklahoma City to replace him. This was somewhat expected as Bolsinger was most likely brought up to be a spot starter and things didn't exactly go his way last night. However, Tsao may not be around long either. Roberts said that the club would likely return from 13 pitchers back down to 12 pitchers once the Dodgers return to National League parks. With the Dodgers returning to San Diego tomorrow night, it sounds like someone will be headed back down.
Tsao, who is most known for being banned by the Chinese Professional Baseball League for alleged game-fixing, signed with the Dodgers last year after being cleared by MLB then re-signed again this season.
