This year has been relatively quiet on the international amateur signing front for the Dodgers, which is to be expected since the Dodgers have restrictions for the next two signing periods.
On the opening day of the 2015-2016 signing period, July 2, the Dodgers officially announced deals with nine players, including pitcher Yadier Alvarez, outfielder Starling Heredia and infielder Ronny Brito, with the entire group surpassing $22 million in bonuses.
This year, there has been no official announcement from the team on the international front, and on July 2 the only reported signing was Dominican shortstop Albert Suarez with a bonus of $300,000, the maximum individual bonus allowed the Dodgers over the next two signing periods.
