LOS ANGELES ---- Carlos Frias made his first appearance in a Los Angeles Dodger uniform since June 30th and manager Don Mattingly said Frias is a candidate to pitch out of the bullpen when they need multiple innings.
"We wanted to put him in against the best part [of the Pirates lineup], his stuff is really good," Mattingly said, in his second inning "he calmed down a little bit, he was better in the second." Frias allowed two hits in two scoreless innings of work, throwing 25 pitches, 18 were strikes.
