Last week, Ken Rosenthal reported that the Dodgers are unlikely to be in on Carlos Correa, partly because of potential fan backlash because he was on the cheating Astros team in 2017, and partly because of financial uncertainty as they wait to hear the results of Trevor Bauer’s suspension appeal. L.A. could be on the hook for some or all of Bauer’s salaries for 2022 and 2023 if he wins his appeal.
Los Angeles radio broadcaster Tim Neverett was on MLB Network on Monday and was asked by the host if Correa’s ties to the 2017 Astros rule him out as a possibility for the Dodgers.
