LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers selected the contract of right-handed reliever Daniel Hudson and optioned top prospect Walker Buehler to Single-A Rancho Cucamonga in essentially a paper move.
Buehler, who threw five scoreless innings Monday night against the Marlins in his first MLB start, is expected to be recalled as the 26th man to start in Saturday's double-header in San Francisco.
Hudson gives the Dodgers a nine-man bullpen again. Hudson, a former starting pitcher, was signed by the Dodgers as a free agent on March 30.
