SAN DIEGO — The Brewers claimed pitcher Alec Asher off waivers from the Dodgers on Tuesday, continuing the churn on the fringes of the roster.
Asher was claimed from the Orioles on April 5 and optioned to Triple-A. He made one start for Oklahoma City, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits with one strikeout on Saturday against New Orleans.
The 26-year-old right-hander has pitched in parts of three seasons in the majors with the Phillies and Orioles, posting a 5.55 ERA in 116u2154 innings with 76 strikeouts and 37 walks.
