Depth means that anybody can be your staff ace at any time. For instance, the season began with Kershaw at the top of the heap. As soon as he went down with an injury rookie hurler Walker Buehler stepped up to lead the rotation. Now, spot-starter Ross Stripling has taken the reigns as our #1.
