LOS ANGELES -- Bud Black, in the mix to be the next Dodgers manager until he appeared to have the Nationals' job locked up, is back in the mix with Los Angeles.
Having already worked for Dodgers vice president Josh Byrnes in San Diego, Black also has the additional connection to the front office of having served on manager Mike Scioscia's Angels coaching staff with Joe Maddon, who worked in St. Petersburg with current Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman.
According to FOX Sports, Black will interview for the job. Also on the candidate list is Dave Roberts -- Black's former bench coach with the Padres and a former Dodgers outfielder.
