The Dodgers primary achilles heel this year has once again been the bullpen. The brain trust tried to address the issue but some of their moves haven’t worked out well. During the first month of the season the bullpen put up stellar numbers. In the month of April the relievers posted a 2.25 ERA in 64 innings pitched. They struck out 79 and walked just 24 while limiting opposing hitters to a .197 average against.
In the month of May Dodger relievers posted a 2.82 ERA and limited hitters to a .215 batting average against. The following months saw a huge drop in performance.
