Baker gives up two home runs spoiling his Dodgers debut in San Diego

SAN DIEGO – The Dodgers are paying $10 million for a fifth starter. But the three-headed version they’ve been using hasn’t fared as well.

The latest spot starter promoted from Triple-A, veteran right-hander Scott Baker held the San Diego Padres to just four hits in seven innings Sunday afternoon but two of them were home runs and the Padres handed the Dodgers a 3-1 defeat at Petco Park.
