LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers on Tuesday reinstated left-handed pitcher Alex Wood from the 10-day disabled list and placed right-handed pitcher John Axford on the 10-day disabled list with a fractured right fibula. Axford, who was hit with a comebacker on Sunday at Colorado, could be out of action for three weeks.
Wood, who missed the last nine games due to left adductor tendinitis, was slated to make his 23rd start of the season on Tuesday night against the Giants. The 27-year-old has posted a 7-6 record and 3.58 ERA (49 ER/123 1/3 IP) in 22 starts for Los Angeles this season.
