Things couldn’t have gone better for Hyun-Jin Ryu and the Dodgers on Friday night, as they defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-2.
After missing a few starts with an injury, Ryu returned and had one of the better outings of his career. For the first time since 2014, he had 10 strikeouts. In his seven innings of work, he walked zero and surrendered only two runs.
Cody Bellinger continued his historic start to the season in the first inning. He hit a two-run homer to give him his 13th of the season.
